Presenting Cosy Opera
Opera Cosy is a service for the organizing of private evenings of opera at home, and this concept is offered by Lizart. This company’s vocation is to create theatrical and operatic shows in Paris, as well as all over France and worldwide.
This concept originated in the meeting of a diva and an opera stage director.
The director, Stéphane Rugraff from the Ecole supérieure d’Art Dramatique, is an author, a comedian, and a stage director. Wearing these three hats, he has created numerous theatrical and operatic shows both in France and in Europe.
The diva, Sandra Zeltzer, an international opera singer, sings on the major international stages, such as the English National Opera, Covent Garden, Glyndebourne, and the Opéra Comique in Paris. She has given concerts all over Europe and the United States, where she has sung with the greatest performers, such as Placido Domingo, Renée Fleming, and Simon Keenlyside.
The meeting of Stéphane and Sandra during an opera production created a wish to combine their arts within a more intimate circle. It is a beautiful encounter, a skillful mixture of artistic passion, lyric emotions, and sharing… And thus Cosy Opera was born, with internationally renowned singers performing at your home, and for you alone! Opera becomes an art for everyone, in a small space, far from the established setting of major theaters.
How much space is required?
You should provide 25 square meters for 15 to 20 spectators, and 1 extra square meter per extra person. The show can also be performed in a garden (with the possibility of shelter in cases of bad weather), or it can also be organized, after prior agreement, in a restaurant or any other place of your choice.
